Our little Tyce is 1! I guess that is old news since we posted our visit to Discovery Gateway a while ago. In addition to our scientific private birthday party with just Tyler, Tyce, and I we threw him a ‘small’ party with just family and a few friends. Small doesn’t really describe the turn out- because Tyler and I have at least 30 close family members each, and adding our few friends on top of that gave us a pretty big party.
Tyce had so much fun! He just loves his Grandma’s and Grandpa’s and all his aunts and uncles and cousins! Tyce and Avery loved dancing together for all of us, and it is the cutest thing ever! Tyce also loves the Utah grass and went crazy when we let him wonder out on it for his party. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so excited. (I can’t let him loose on this Florida grass- he would probably disappear )
Tyce is a little shy- like me J. But he is the sweetest little bug and always had a smile for everyone- even when he was buried in my neck with his binky in his mouth. He got so many wonderful presents! He got so many that we had to borrow 2 suitcases to get all of them home!
He enjoyed his cake very much! I made 2 of them, one with a caterpillar on it- I ran out of room to write his name and I wasn’t about to mess with the design- so we had a second cake to write ‘Happy Birthday’ on- and he had so much fun piling it in.
We are so proud of our little Tyce. He is so so sweet. And he is so smart. He provides so much entertainment with his dancing and babbling and head butting. He lights up the room when he is in it and we are so grateful to have such an amazing baby boy.

Today was our little guys first Birthday!!! Although he will be having a big birthday party on Saturday, we (Mom and Dad) celebrated his birthday at Discovery Gateway so that he could have some fun. It was so great to watch him play and interact with all the exhibits and toys, and interact with other children. We love our Tyce so much and wish him a very big Happy Birthday!!!

Tyler, Destiny, and Tyce went over to Seaworld to play on Tyler’s Birthday. It was so cute to see Tyce actually enjoying and interacting with his surrounding. He especially loved the Shamu and Seamore shows. Make sure to check out the video.

It has been far to long since our last post, we will definitely stay more on top of our updates for you.
A couple weeks ago, Daddy and Tyce and a couple of friends hit the lake for some fun. Daddy likes wake boarding and tubing, while Tyce prefers to just splash around in the lake. These humid hot summer days make boating so fun, and we are grateful that we have opportunities to do this. Hopefully mommy will come next time, although we might have to fight tooth and nail to get her into the water (for some crazy reason she has a fear of gators

Tyce is now fairly confident in his crawling abilities. Before he could crawl and scoot his way around, but today he started all out crawling. Take a look
Wow- it’s been a long time since I blogged! I just wanted to do a quick update on my cute little guy.
Tyce can clap now! Yay!
He can play peek-a-boo. He will hide his head and pop up at the right times and he just loves it! I love seeing his smile and I love being able to communicate with him on some level.
He can also crawl/scoot around- he has taken a big interest in Daddy’s computers. When Tyler turns them on- and all the lights come on- Tyce crawl-scoots at full force to get his hands on those shinny buttons.
And he has two teeth!! They are so cute they are both on the bottom so when he grins you get a good look at them. You can almost see them in this picture- but you have to look close.
It’s amazing that he has learned all of that and gained two teeth since the last time I blogged- that was only a month ago! I read somewhere that if we had the capacity to learn like babies we would all be geniuses- now that makes total sense to me. They learn so fast!
Well- that’s an update on my 8 month old- cutest baby ever- Tyce-aroony. Love you!
Tyce is 7 months old today. He is so fun! He has picked up on communication from his Mother- when I want a drink I will do a fake cough, and Tyler automatically jumps up to get me a drink (he was trained early ladies). SO- Tyce must have noticed the reaction- now he ‘coughs’ to get my attention or when he wants anything. It has become his language.
He crawls in circles- and roles and roles. But when he has his mind set on one direction he wont turn the other way and gets mad when he runs out of role space. We just turn him around and he keeps going.
He now says mum mum, but only when he is crying. It breaks my heart. But- mum mum knows best, and when it’s time for bed, it’s time for bed.;)
Tyce loves sweet potatoes and Dad’s popsicles. Anytime Tyler has a popsicle in the vicinity Tyce goes nuts. He also loves baths, and he is going to sleep on his own wonderfully. One of his favorite things to do is to play with his ‘buddy’ in the mirror. Today I think he got upset because his buddy in the mirror wasn’t sharing. Tyce started head-butting the mirror- so I took the toy from the boy in the mirror and gave it to Tyce. That trick only lasted until Tyce looked in the mirror again. He loves other babies now though- and just loves life in general. He is always so excited to wake up (he got that from his Dad). He is so much fun and we just love him so much.
Oh- and- don’t tell Tyler I blogged about this… Tyce rolled off our couch for the first time last Sunday. Talk about traumatic. He rolled off our couch in the family room and landed right on our hard tile. Tyce was ok before Tyler and I recovered- but we learned our lesson. And I took that moment to talk to Tyler about getting carpet. I guess I’m going to have to roll Tyler off the couch and see what he thinks after that.
Last weekend I was watching some of my girlfriends feeding their babies that are close to Tyce’s age. And somehow they didn’t get a DROP of food on their babies face or anything! They were so good they didn’t even use a bib! So- I thought I would post pictures of what it looks like when I do it! I’m not sure if Tyce is getting any in his mouth, but he must be because he has gained another full pound since we went to the doctor a week ago. Anyways- I say we do a poll- am I baby food challenged, or have my girlfriends been abducted by aliens at some point in time and were told the secret to this food in mouth thing?
Yes- we are obsessed! I know this blog is everything TYCE- but he is our everything! So it makes sense . So- Tyce is 6 months old today!! WOW. He is such an amazing boy! He is a happy baby, and LOVES girls (oh man). He is so funny because he will smile and make flirty faces at girls (of all ages) and then burry his face into my neck. So maybe being bashful will save me from fighting the girls too soon. He is starting to like his independence- and it makes me a little sad, but proud and excited too. He is learning and growing so fast. I am so grateful for him and he has brought so much into our lives! So- I made a little 6-month tribute video. This is my first try at making a video (so it’s not as good as Ty’s videos ). But the song is one of my favorites and has been mine and Tyce’s song since he was about (-6) months old. HAPPY .5 Birthday Tyce!!
