Tyce’s Birthday Party in Salt Lake City

DSCF3107Our little Tyce is 1! I guess that is old news since we posted our visit to Discovery Gateway a while ago.  In addition to our scientific private birthday party with just Tyler, Tyce, and I we threw him a ‘small’ party with just family and a few friends.  Small doesn’t really describe the turn out- because Tyler and I have at least 30 close family members each, and adding our few friends on top of that gave us a pretty big party.

Tyce had so much fun! He just loves his Grandma’s and Grandpa’s and all his aunts and uncles and cousins! Tyce and Avery loved dancing together for all of us, and it is the cutest thing ever! Tyce also loves the Utah grass and went crazy when we let him wonder out on it for his party. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so excited. (I can’t let him loose on this Florida grass- he would probably disappear ;) )

Tyce is a little shy- like me J. But he is the sweetest little bug and always had a smile for everyone- even when he was buried in my neck with his binky in his mouth.  He got so many wonderful presents! He got so many that we had to borrow 2 suitcases to get all of them home!

He enjoyed his cake very much! I made 2 of them, one with a caterpillar on it- I ran out of room to write his name and I wasn’t about to mess with the design- so we had a second cake to write ‘Happy Birthday’ on- and he had so much fun piling it in.

We are so proud of our little Tyce. He is so so sweet. And he is so smart. He provides so much entertainment with his dancing and babbling and head butting. He lights up the room when he is in it and we are so grateful to have such an amazing baby boy.

Tyler’s B-Day Party

Destiny was cute enough to get some of the friends together to enjoy a fun saturday for my birthday. We did it on a beach were we could pull the boat up to the beach.  It was a lot of fun.

Wedding Reception- Meagan & Sean

Our home turned into party central when Meagan and Sean had their reception at our home a few weeks ago. Things were crazy and the house was packed. But it was so much fun!

4th Of July 2009

We had a great time on our countries birthday. We started out with an extreme home made water slide at our friends house. They have a massive hill in thier backyard that made conditions right for a great Slip n’ slide experience.  You have got to check out the hilerios pictures and video below.

Afterwards we went down to Disneyworld and watched the Magic Kingdoms fireworks that they made even better for a special 4th of July presentation.

Happy 4th of July everyone and don’t forget the ultimate sacrafices so many of paid to provide with the glorious freedoms we enjoy.

Typhoon Lagoon

Tyce and DaddySo last week we went out to Disney’s Blizzard Beach so yesterday we visited Disney’s other water park Typhoon Lagoon.  We went with our very good friends, Jon, Ashley, and their boy Gaven.  Tyce and Gaven are good friends and liked to play in the water together.  They especially love relaxing in the lazy river and soaking up the sun.

Jon and myself had a blast in the gigantic wave pool that dumps 6 foot waves on your head as you will see in the video and photos below.

Shuttle Launch 2009

Shuttle

We were honored on Sunday to be part of the very last night shuttle launch ever.  Although the shuttle launch was not until 7:30 we headed up close to Cape Canaveral early afternoon in hopes to find a place that would provide a great view of the launch.  Our good friends Jon and Ashley were able to bring an RV which provided a great solution for us to wait for the countdown.

When it was finally time to launch it was absolutely beautiful.  Colors of orange, red, blue, and white colored the air.  Make sure to check out our video and pictures below of this awesome event!

Warbird Airshow 2009

warbird-airshow-2009-028Over the weekend we went an hour and a half north to the Titusville airforce base to see a great spectacle on the ground and in the air.  We got up close to about every type of aircraft from every time period you can think of.  After a couple hours of mingling with the airplanes, we all gathered near the runway were we then got to see them take off and preform maneuvers in the air.  Be sure to check out the video below and the photos as well.

Zions National Park

zions-2008-79For those who might not know, we officially move to St. George about a week and a half ago.  We like it down here.  Beautiful red rock, nice weather, and great views.

This weekend our close friends, Jason and Aimee McDaniel, came and visited us.  They are great friends and we respect them so much.  We all thought it would be fun to go and spend a few hours over in Zions National Park since it was so close to us.

This was the first time that we have really had a chance to do just about anything since our little Tyce was born.  It was really fun to finally get out and do something with him.

We had a really fun time, we didn’t get to stay for very long, but plan on possibly going back next month to get even more pictures of the amazing sites.

Check out all the pictures!
